A City Circuit Like No Other

Baku City Circuit is 6,006 km in length. The architect of this magnificent project is the man behind the design of all modern Formula 1 tracks: Hermann Tilke.

The track is located in the heart of Baku and passes through the most beautiful parts of the city. This was one of the key goals set by the organizers of the race to showcase the city’s beauty to the world.

Music Stars

On the weekend of June 17-19 fans from across the globe arrived in Baku for a spectacular F1 weekend. Friday, June 17th saw the start of the weekend’s entertainment program, which had some of the world’s biggest music stars perform nightly on a specially constructed stage after the F1 racing action had ended on-track.

End of the weekend

This incredible weekend ended on the Sunday night, when one of the most influential people in the world of music, Pharrell Williams, closed out the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe with a stunning live performance.

Autograph Sessions

All F1 drivers participated in autograph sessions throughout the weekend. This was an excellent opportunity for fans to meet their heroes, get autographs and take pictures with their favorite Formula 1 drivers.

Family Pastimes

There were a lot of rest and recreation zones spread across the circuit for fans attending the race weekend, where it was possible to relax away from the noise and action on-track. Comfortable bean bags, umbrellas, sofas, small tables and armchairs were available for fans to chill out in if they needed a break from all the excitement. Children were provided with a fun aquarium to enoy and thematic F1 haircuts were also offered to the little ones, alongside funny caricature portraits drawn by artists.

Fans were able to immortalize their Grand Prix weekend in Baku on social media by taking pictures from the top step of a replica F1 podium and using the #F1Baku hashtag.
