Baku City Circuit launches a green initiative marking World Earth Day

Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) organized a beach clean-up campaign marking World Earth Day with the help of BCC Academy volunteers and local school students.

The environmental campaign, arranged along the shores of the Shikh beach aimed to raise awareness around environmental protection, global conservation, and taking action to reduce household waste. During the event, the participants cleaned up the beach area, sorted out the collected litter, and sent it out for recycling. 

The event, supported by the Executive power of Sabail district and the educational complex No. 132-134 directly contributes to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

The organizer of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2022, Baku City Circuit is joining the global initiative to have a net-zero carbon footprint by 2030 which is a part of the Formula 1 Group's sustainability strategy.
