Formula 1 simulator championship takes place in Fuzuli

FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX

The winner of F1 simulator championship “Your speed formula” in Fuzuli, organized by Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC), in cooperation with Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF), has been revealed.

Within Formula 1 month in the regions, approximately 200 high school students from schools N. 1, 2 and 3 in Horadiz and secondary school in Akhmadalilar village took part in traffic road safety training sessions delivered by AAF specialists on February 28. That day F1 simulators were in free service for local citizens all day long.

On March 1, the above-mentioned students were involved in the racing competition. Huseyn Eyvazov, a ninth-grade student from School N. 2, won the competition in Fuzuli by setting the fastest lap on Baku City Circuit in the simulator (1:50:468).

H.Eyvazov, who will compete in the final race, to be held in Baku on the eve of Novruz holiday, said of his success: “I took part in traffic road safety training session and then practiced in the simulators before the competition. So, I was ready and confident during the race. I am delighted to win the championship and looking forward to representing Fuzuli decently in Baku”.

Representative of Fuzuli Executive Power, Ganimat Aliyev, who also participated in organizing the event in the region, said: “We are proud to host F1 simulator championship in our region. Residents of Fuzuli have always demonstrated great interest in such events.

Besides, students took part in training sessions and acquired knowledge on traffic road safety. Organizing such events is a great contribution to shaping the outlook of young people in our society”.

Overall, F1 simulator championship is planned to take place in 6 regions of Azerbaijan. Next seminars and championships are going to take place in Mingachevir, Gakh and Guba, respectively.

The simulator trailer will set off to Mingachevir on March 3 and F1 simulator will be in service for local citizens. High school students will take part in traffic road safety training sessions to be delivered by AAF specialists. On March 4, they will compete in F1 simulator championship.
