About a thousand job seekers visited the second career fair

The two-day career fair jointly hosted by Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan) has ended today. About a thousand job seekers visited the fair held on 29-30 October in BCC Academy.

The head of the BCC Academy and BCC Human Resources Department, Irana Ahmadova, noted that young specialists showed particular interest in the event: “Career fairs create opportunities for acquaintance and first contact between companies and job seekers, they are especially helpful for a junior staff at the beginning of their professional career. In order to provide the national economy with qualified personnel, leading companies should pay special attention to providing support to young specialists and opportunities for professional development”.

AmCham Azerbaijan Executive Director Natavan Mammedova highlighted the importance of the career fair and noted: “The event has been organized at a high level, with involvement of country’s leading companies presenting their employment and internship opportunities. I believe that many visitors could find new opportunities for their further professional growth”.

Over 30 local and international companies participated at the career fair. While young specialists were among the main visitors to the fair, the age of job seekers was up to 60 years.
