On the eve and during the event, pedestrians will be able to freely move around the race area using the pedestrian overbridge and underground pass way as well.

Pedestrian overbridges will be installed and being activated close to the race week at the following locations:

 

1. The intersection of Azerbaijan Avenue and Istiglaliyyat Street.

2. The intersection of Khagani and Rashid Behbudov streets.

3. The intersection of Azadlig Avenue and Khagani Street.

4. The intersection of Rashid Behbudov Street with Neftchilar Avenue.

According to Traffic Management Plan, the roads lying within Baku City Circuit and the areas around the track will be closed for traffic from June 6 at 01:00 am till 10:00 am on June 14.

FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX

The territory of Baku City Circuit is conventionally divided into 3 zones where event-related traffic restrictions or changes will take place.

Zone 1 - covers the territory of the Old City "Icherisheher"

Zone 2 - includes the territory of Azadlig Square and adjacent streets.

Zone 3 - covers the territory of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Waterfall Park and adjacent streets.

Please see map # 1 for details regarding the mentioned above zones.

Vehicle access to these zones will be provided based on special pass - Resident Access Permit (R.A.P)

The Resident Access Permit will be distributed among the residents living in event locations and individuals having constant businesses at the mentioned locations. 

FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX

The Resident Access Permit will be distributed among the residents living in event-related locations/zones and individuals having constant businesses at the mentioned locations. This pass is granted free of charge.

Please refer to map #1 for details regarding the zones.

To get a pass, the applicant has to get in touch with one of the distribution offices depending on the applicant's residence or business allocation.

Pass distribution time frame: May 16, 2022 - June 12, 2022.

Working schedule: Monday - Friday from 10:00 to 17:00.

This pass is a self-adhesive sticker, and upon receipt needs to be affixed to the front windscreen of the vehicle's interior side according to the figure below:

Zone 1

Entry and Exit during the night time only, from 00:00 till 06:00.

Entry and Exit will be arranged in/out the direction of the Azneft roundabout over the Vehicle Check Point (VCP) #8. Please refer to map #1.

Zone 2

There are no timeframe limitations for entry or exit, but depending on the activity at the race-track ea, track gates are in the open or closed position.

Entry and Exit will be arranged through the intersection of Rashid Behbudov and Khagani streets over the Vehicle Check Point (VCP) #6. Please refer to map #1.

Zone 3

There are no timeframe limitations for entry or exit.

Entry and Exit will be arranged in/out the direction of Lermontov Street – Waterfall Park over the Vehicle Check Point (VCP) #7. Please refer to map #1.

The parking will be available only for Zone 1 Resident Access Permit holders. The details with regards to a parking location and usage terms will be given by our Company representative at the designated distribution point.

Please refer to map #1 for alternative traffic-related solutions during the Race. You can see these alternative roads in blue on the map which are considered for continuous traffic flow.

 

Please be advised that parking on these roads will be strictly prohibited, while they will remain open for traffic.

Please refer to map #1 where the streets with traffic restrictions are indicated.

Starting from 01:00 on 6th June till 10:00 on 14th June, the streets highlighted in red will be entirely closed for traffic.  

 

Furthermore, the traffic management along these streets will be carried out by the corresponding state bodies.

The changes in bus routes/timetables will be posted before the event on the website of Baku Transport Agency, as well as relevant information will be distributed via radio, TV and online media.

Due to the road closures, there are strict restrictions for private vehicle access. There will be no possibility to be dropped off at the track’s entry gates as well. You can reach the gates via the temporary overhead and underground passes.

Since there is NO parking area for spectators, public transport is the easiest way to get to and from the race track.

Public Transport – Metro

The efficient Metro system provides an easy way of getting around the City Center.

The closest metro stations are as following:

·  Icherisheher Metro station – near the Race Track.

·  28 May Metro station – 700 meters to the Race Track.

·  Sahil Metro station – near the Race Track.

Public Transport – Taxi

A cab can take you to the passenger drop-off close to the Race Track, but NOT to the Venue entrance Gates.

Having learned in advance the cost of the trip, you can compare the various services and choose the most affordable among them. In the event of claims to the driver, you can complain to the taxi company, where in addition you can get information about the forgotten things.

You can call a taxi in various ways: by calling the dispatch service number and placing an order online through the site or through the application on your smartphone, which is very convenient. Taxi fares vary depending on the class of the car. The average machine feed time is 10-15 minutes.

For the convenience of customers, the company offers many different payment options:

·  Cash at the end of the trip;

·  Visa and MasterCard through the site,

·  Mobile application or bank terminal;

The possibility of paying by credit card must be specified in advance, as not all companies provide such service.
