With just a few days to go until the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, preparations at the Baku City Circuit are entering their final stage. However, organising the race involves more than work on the track and preparations at the grandstands. Accrediting thousands of people who will be working throughout race week, providing them with uniforms and getting them ready for work also requires a major operational effort. One of the key locations in this process is the Uniform and Accreditation Centre, which is now fully operational.
Every day, the centre welcomes staff, volunteers, marshals, security personnel and representatives of contractor companies involved in organising the race. Registration is carried out here, accreditation cards are prepared and uniforms are distributed. By the time the race begins, the centre is expected to issue around 12,000 accreditation cards and 8,900 uniforms.
A total of 120 volunteers are also closely involved in organising this intensive operation. From welcoming and registering those arriving at the centre to supporting the preparation of accreditation cards and distribution of uniforms, they assist across a range of processes. Working with a large number of staff and participants throughout the day creates a work environment that is both demanding and dynamic for the volunteers.
