Italian Minister talks about the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

In the course of the meeting between the Italian delegation led by Luigi Di Maio, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, there was a reference to the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Italian foreign minister pointed out that it was his first visit to Azerbaijan and he had the chance to see Baku for the first time only through the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: 

“As you know, this is my first visit to your country. Congratulations, your country is remarkable. I had seen the beautiful city of Baku only thanks to the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The city is magnificent, we saw it when we came here by car. I specifically congratulate you on your leadership in the region today. As you know, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. We will celebrate this important event in May”. 

This year marks the 6th year that Azerbaijan hosts such an internationally acclaimed sports event along with other leading countries around the world. The next Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on 10-12 June of this year.
