Khasi Isgandarli set the fastest lap on Baku City Circuit in the simulator championship (1:51:152) and got a chance to compete in the final competition, to be held in Baku on the eve of Novruz holiday.
Answering journalists' questions after the exciting race, Khasi Isgandarli said of his success: “It was the first time I was participating in a race. I was very nervous and had some difficulties. The most challenging part of the track was the narrow twists and turns. Nevertheless, I set the fastest lap. I am thrilled and looking forward to the final. I would also like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the competition”.
City resident Elshan Aliyev, who is a great fan of F1, noted that these projects played an important role in youth development: “We are happy to host such sporting events. These events bring young people together and keep them out of the bad habits and help them develop intellectually”.
On March 3, the F1 simulator was in service for local citizens in Mingachevir. Around 200 high school students from 20 secondary schools attended the traffic road safety training sessions delivered by AAF specialists and competed in the simulator championship.
Next simulator championships will be in Gakh on March 6-7 and in Guba on March 9-10. High school students will take part in traffic road safety trainings and the F1 simulator will be in service for local citizens.
