Excitement is building in Baku ahead of the 10th anniversary Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with fans already getting into the spirit of race weekend through a packed programme of activities.
One of the highlights has been the traditional Pit Lane Walk, giving spectators a rare chance to step inside the world of Formula 1 and see the teams preparing for the race up close.
Fans walked along the pit lane, passing the team garages and watching mechanics work on the cars ahead of the weekend’s on-track action. The Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Mercedes garages were among the most popular stops, while the chance to see the cars up close, meet drivers and take photos with them added to the excitement.
The pit lane remained a hive of activity throughout the walk. The sound of engines, the work of the mechanics and the constant movement around the garages offered fans a glimpse of the intense preparation that goes on behind the scenes before a Formula 1 race.
For many spectators, the experience was about more than simply seeing the cars up close. It offered a chance to experience the atmosphere of a Grand Prix from the other side of the barriers, just metres away from the teams and their preparations.
The Pit Lane Walk drew an enthusiastic crowd, with fans leaving with plenty of memorable moments ahead of the weekend’s main action.
Attention now turns to the racing at the Baku City Circuit.
Baku is hosting a Formula 1 race for the 10th time this year, with the anniversary Azerbaijan Grand Prix taking place from 24 to 26 September.
