Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to Continue Until 2030

Since 2016, the Baku City Circuit has thrilled Formula 1 fans with its unique layout, combining the narrow turns of the historic Icheri Sheher with long, high-speed straights along the Caspian shoreline. Each year, the circuit delivers intense racing battles, while its popularity continues to grow — in 2024, the event welcomed fans from more than 70 countries.

With seven different winners across eight races, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most unpredictable events on the calendar. Mexican driver Sergio Pérez remains the only two-time winner in Baku, while Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri have each taken one victory. Last year, Piastri crossed the finish line first after a dramatic duel with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
