Frederik Vesti takes his maiden win in the Baku sprint race
The ART Grand Prix driver took the lead from Jake Hughes at the start of the race as the race took an unexpected turn. Although Jehan Daruvala passed him at Turn 1 dropping to third place, the Dane managed to clinch victory at the end.
Jehan Daruvala from Prema Racing and Liam Lawson from Carlin finished second and third respectively. The race trophies were presented by Deputy Ministry of Youth and Sports, Marianna Toteva Vasileva, Vice president of Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, Adil Karimli, and Member of the Parliament, Nigar Arpadarai.
The Formula 2 feature race will be held on June 12th, at 11 am local time.
