Marshals Continue Training for the 2026 Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix

As part of the preparations for the 2026 Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix, training sessions for marshals have been held.

The training sessions were organised by Baku City Circuit Operating Company.

The primary objective of these trainings is to ensure maximum safety during race operations, minimize risks, and further strengthen rapid and effective response mechanisms in emergency situations. In a high-speed and technically complex sport such as Formula 1, marshals play a critical role, and their thorough preparation is a key requirement for the safe and uninterrupted running of the event.

During the theoretical sessions, marshals were briefed on various scenarios that may arise during race activities. The programme focused on essential skills, including the safe extraction of drivers from their cars, rapid track recovery procedures, correct use of personal protective equipment, and effective team coordination.

Such training sessions, organised by Baku City Circuit Operating Company, contribute to enhancing the professional competence of marshals and ensuring compliance with international safety standards throughout the race weekend.

2026 Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on 24–26 September 2026.
