THE BAKU MARSHAL CLUB HOLDS ANOTHER LARGE TRAINING EVENT AHEAD OF THE FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2023

FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX

On April 8th, the Baku Marshal Club operating on behalf of Baku City Circuit (BCC) – the Promoter of the FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2023 - held a large training event for BCC staff, media representatives and volunteer schoolchildren in participation with a team of local marshals.

The primary aim of the training was to test emergency situations and race coordination strategies, prevent dangerous situations from occurring and to quickly address any issues in the aftermath of a crises. At all times, each practice session stressed importance to marshals and volunteers of maintaining a professional approach at all times, no matter the situation.

Apart from the racing simulation, a distinctive training session was also organized to introduce Formula 1 motorsport to media representatives and schoolchildren.

The training program – which took place at the Baku Marshal Center situated in the European Games Park – consisted of both theoretical and practical sessions. During the theoretical class, participants were briefed on the key aspects of managing the FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2023, as well as on the strategic and technical advancements that have taken place since last year’s race.

For the practical session, the marshals applied their technical skills in a real-world setting by practicing on a special simulation track designed for training purposes. During the event, "Volkicar" drivers from the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation held a special competition for the participants. The event also featured a show race of drift cars and luxury vehicles that was well received by all attendees.

The FORMULA 1 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2023 is scheduled for the weekend of April 28th -30th this year and will have 1470 marshals participating in the organization of the event.
