The action begins early in the morning with the Formula 2 drivers taking to the track. At 10:00, the young racers will hold their free practice session, focusing on car setups and testing strategies ahead of the weekend. With only three rounds remaining in the season, the battle among seven title contenders promises to be especially intense.
At 12:30, all eyes will turn to the Formula 1 drivers. During their one-hour first practice session, they will test the limits of Baku’s challenging street circuit, particularly its narrow 90-degree corners and newly resurfaced sections. The collected data on Pirelli tire behavior will play a crucial role in shaping race strategies.
In the afternoon, Formula 2 returns at 14:00 for the qualifying session, which will determine the starting grid for both the sprint race and Sunday’s main race. Later, at 16:00, Formula 1 drivers will head back on track for the second practice session, pushing the limits further and building on the work started in the morning.
The day will close with a spectacular evening concert. One of the most futuristic names in electronic music, Anyma, will perform in the Baku Crystal Hall as part of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025 entertainment program. His unique audiovisual performance promises an unforgettable journey that blends technology, light, and music. Anyma’s shows have already captivated millions at some of the world’s most iconic festivals, including Tomorrowland and Coachella.
