Due to logistical operations for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024, scheduled for September 13-15, traffic will be restricted on Pushkin Street at the intersection with Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street and Neftchilar Avenue starting at 01:00 on the night of September 7. These restrictions will remain in place until the end of the event.
According to the Traffic Management Plan, the streets and areas covered by the Baku City Circuit will be closed to traffic starting at 01:00 on the night of September 9. Traffic will resume at 08:00 on the morning of September 17.
Traffic restrictions will be applied in 3 zones. The first zone is the Old City (Icherisheher) area within the race circuit, the second zone includes Azadliq Square and the surrounding streets, and the third zone is the area along the UN 50th Anniversary Street. During the event, a "Residential Access Permit" will be issued for vehicle entry and exit in the specified areas. This permit can be obtained at distribution points from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 17:00. Citizens should contact the relevant offices for each zone as follows:
Please be aware that "Residential Access Permits" have been available since August 29 and will be distributed until September 13.
